The 18th festival featuring European award-winning films is going to take place in Bakala Hall at 6 Žerotínovo square from April 22 to 29.

Only films that have not been previously released for commercial distribution have been selected for this festival.

The pictures deal with various topics such as: refugees (the opening film, Welcome, about a young Kurdish refugee who decides to get to England by swimming the English Channel); homosexuality (Danish film Brotherhood); as well as a comedy film (Made in Hungary). Films are shown in the original versions with English and Czech subtitles.

Tickets are available for CZK 90, in the advance booking office (Běhounská 17) or before each screeing at Bakala Hall. For the programme and annotations in English please go to www.eurofilmfest.cz.
