One World is one of the leading festivals in Europe dealing with human rights issues. It takes place in several cities around the Czech Republic. In Brno, the festival is running from March 22 to March 29. You may enjoy screenings and at following places: The B. Bakala Centre, Cinema Art, Café Trojka, Museum of Applied Arts and HaDivadlo Theatre.

The theme of this year’s festival will be held in the spirit of corruption and organized crime. The topics of minorities, elderly people or migration will be presented too. Recent events on Haiti, in China and Burma altogether with interesting and suggestive topics of woman rights and ecology will also be covered by the English screenings.

English screenings will not be missing this year. We prepared a more comfortable film experience for you by moving the screenings of English films into the beautiful interiors of the Museum of Applied Arts and also into a Small Hall of Cinema Art.

You can also look forward to interesting debates after the movies and also to several music concerts or exhibitions of photography.

You cand find more information about festival and films on the website www.oneworld.cz/brno or on our FB page.
