The second part of February will present two foreign film festivals. A Scandinavian film festival called Nordic Film Winter is celebrated from February 17 to 20. Eight films from Denmark, Sweden and Norway will be shown during these four days.

Just after that, on Monday 21 February, La Película (schedule for Brno in the bottom of the page), a Spanish film festival, begins and continues for seven days to 27 February. The festival is very popular and proves an unflagging interest in Spanish and Iberian-American culture and language. You will have an opportunity to watch successful and award-winning films of both recent and older production. This year offers a speciality: several films dealing with the bullfights topic.

All films are shown in their original versions with subtitles and are screened at 6:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. every day.

Tickets to Northern Film Winter cost CZK 90, to La Película CZK 100. They can can be purchased from the box-office of cinema Art, 19 Cihlářská st., from 5:45 p.m. every day.
