If you feel like you are melting away, try one of these ice-cold beverages sold in the streets of Brno:
Legránž
An acronym of “le grande juice”, legránž is a mix of a juice of choice, mineral water and chopped fruits, served in a really big glass. You can enjoy it in cafés and pubs owned by company Studio 19, like Café Falk at Gorkého st. You’ll pay less than €2.Homemade lemonade
Several cafés are serving homemade lemonade – last week I had a great one in Priority café located in the garages at Moravské náměstí sq. You may enjoy a nice glass of lemonade in café Trojka, too.
Cider
Cider is not really popular in the Czech republic – but you can get it from a tap in The Immigrant pub at Veveří st. for €2,5.
Kofola
“The communist-era Coca-cola” relaunched several years ago and it has became very popular. Based on licorice, Kofola is not as sweet as “western” colas. You’ll get it in most of pubs, however many of them serve only cheaper copies; even though these may be tasty too, allways look for the original logo.Beer

Another great place is Mezzanine on Uvoz (I think) near Richardu Pivo. They do a great iced fruit juice. Its for around 50 krowns, cold, big and tasty. ;)
Thanks for the Cider tip. Have to check it up soon :)
BTW as Czech Cider we can call Frisco! Unfortunately in bottles only …
Speaking of cider, it IS actually getting more and more popular, and there is finally the first locally made one called Mad Apple – now in bottles and soon to be available on tap as well… For now you can get it in the Art cinema, Trojka, Rebio and some more places – you can check out the list here – http://www.madapple.cz/kde-ho-koupit And yes, the real thing from Ireland in the Immigrant is also great!
