What will change in 2010

Pour Féliciter 2010

Life in Brno and in the Czech republic will change slightly in 2010 – be prepared.

  • Many tram and bus lines in Brno will operate within longer intervals. The town wants to save some money, so the public transportation will get less comfortable. The changes affect most lines – check out the timetables or the machine-translated list of changes.
  • Government defined the legal quantities of drugs. Having five grams of weed in your pocket is legal now, as well as possesing a tiny dose of cocaine. I am glad police will fight more dangerous phenomenons than kids experimenting with cannabis.
  • Every driver stopped by police will be breath-tested. Remember that Czech laws are extremly intolerant to driving under influence and even one beer drunk before driving may lead to six months long driving ban.

Best wishes!
