Several readers have recently asked me about institutions helping families in Brno; as a childless person I could not give a proper answer but now I received a message from my former schoolmate, presenting “Family Point“.

Family point gives to parents, of course including expats, a quiet place where then can wrap up or breast feed their babies in a (relative) privacy. There are toys for older children and free internet for their mothers and fathers.
They also offer consulting, so if you have any parentage difficulties here in Brno, this is a great place to go for advices.
A cool thing about Family Point is the place is located in the very centre of Brno, at 1 Josefská st.
Family Point is funded by the town council and several non-profit organizations. Its services are free of charge.
