There are 3-15 concerts or parties held every day in Brno, so it’s impossible to invite you to every single event via Brno Now — but you can use social service last.fm to discover what’s going on in the town.

The user-powered database of events is quite large and reliable, so save this search page showing upcoming events to your favorites. The cool thing is that you can listen to all the bands online, so you can decide whether to attend a concert of an artist you don’t know.

Too bad last.fm doesn’t export that calendar to RSS, Google Calendar or Twitter stream, I would integrate it to Brno Now.

You can integrate it using last.fm API. All you need to know you’ll find here and here is example directly for Brno.

Also for common user this info should be useful:
If you register to last.fm and if you start “scrobbling” (sending info from your media player about what music you’re listening to), after the enough data sent to last.fm you will get location based recommendations calendar which fits your music taste. It has ICS, RSS and Google Calendar export. Also you can discover new music you should like and find people with the similar taste.

PS: Great site. I found it interesting for myself even thought I was born in Brno and I live here all my life :).

Oh, thank you for a great tip! I will study the API and tweak the website as soon as possible, it doesn’t look too complicated. Thanks!
