Starobrno six pack on How I Met Your Mother

by Michal Kašpárek on September 30, 2009

How to separate Marshall from Lily and ruin one of the best TV romances ever? Give him a six pack of beer brewed in Brno!

An offer you can not refuse.

An offer you can not refuse.

Starobrno has its moment of fame in the 6th minute of episode Three Days of Snow. The six pack stays on the screen only for few seconds.

Nice example of a product placement. Via: Lupuch

But nobody know about it in Starobrno, I talked about it with one Starobrno marketing manager and he was very suprised. I thing it was random choice among exotic beers by creators HIMYM (I wrote about it on Twitter six months ago)

I don’t believe in random choices when it comes to the product placement :) I think the reseller of Starobrno in the United States has its marketing totally independent from the original marketing of the Czech producer, so noone knows anything in the local brewery.

I’m glad that people in America know that best beer on the World is from Czech Republic – Starobrno or Pilsner :-)

Heh, I don’t think Starobrno is one of the best beers. Actually, it is quite good in Starobrno brewery and restaurant on Mendlovo namesti in Brno, but I haven’t had a good one anywhere else, yet. :)
Pilsner, on the other hand…yum!

Radim, honey, is that you ? I think that you should introduce these people also beer Pardal.
To Marshalll and Lily – I´m not shure what is stronger: beer or the blond girl with boobs…so
