Pekařská st. is friendlier to pedestrians, thanks to new traffic refuges.
After 14 months, Husova st. in the centre was made rideable again on this Thursday. That means much more easier connection between main train station and Veveří st., both for tramways and cars.
Travelling from Mendlovo náměstí sq. to centre will be quicker too, thanks to new tracks at Husova and Pekařská st. From Saturday on, use tram lines no 5, 6 and 7 instead of the slow trolley bus line “x5″ to travel between Mendlovo náměstí sq., Šilingrovo náměstí sq. and Česká st.

Yes, Brno “passable” again, especially for cars. Gone are the days of quiet and friendly pedestrian and bike strolling along Husova with feelings of what it used to be like in past centuries when the Stadtring was much more citizen friendly.
Back to dense traffic and no place for bikers and leisure strollers. Such is the progress in enlightened Brno.
