The pubs are an issue though. Decent food is at Korzár and nice are also kebab's next to Mersey club. Hotel Kozák for lunch menu is usually also OK, but don't go to U Kyršů (corner of Tábor and Minská) - it is complete waste of money even for lunch menu. Believe me. Blue collar workers pub (at corner of Zborovská and Tábor) is crazy smoky, but beer is quite OK and they have surprisingly good home made sausages. If you are top side of Minská do go to Zelená kočka, but as they are getting spoiled and don't know how to treat people do rather Šelepka No.1 which has excellent food and beer quality and friendly environment to smokers, non-smokers and families (Šelepova park next to Klusáčkova tram stop). They are both technically in Královo pole district, but who cares... Only Mersey is decent sometimes, when they have Depeche Mode nights. I guess it's a decent neighborhood if you work for IBM.
