  • Life in the other Czech capital (The Prague Post)
A nice feature about the community of expats living in Brno.
  • How I love ‘functionalism’ in Brno (The Times Online)
Thoughts on villa Tugendhat and the funcionalist architecture of Brno.
  • Brno Travel Guide (Arrival Guides)
A famous edition of guides has recently published a tiny guide to Brno. I was really not bursting with joy when I was reading it – the text is like 5 years old and there are several strange errors. For example, club Zelená Kočka (Green Cat) at Masarykova st. is now called Red cat and everybody knows that it is a popular gay bar. So if you want to tell a restaurant from a gay bar, try the guide I wrote 2 years ago: Brno101.

I’ve recently contacted the FastCheck people to make some corrections for them, like the number of inhabitants, tram ticket numbers, typos, capital letter use etc. but I did not know about the “Red Cat” thing, of course. I think the selection of places to eat is VERY strange, but it is not “wrong”…
