New facts about the Saturday night stabbing

by Michal Kašpárek on March 3, 2009

Yesterday we published an article about three medicine students stabbed on the last Saturday night. Czech media have fresh information on the attack:

  • Two of the stabbed young men are from the Great Britain and one is Swede of Pakistani origin.
  • The incident happened close to a pub Brooklyn. There was a birthday party of some of the most prominent Czech and Slovak neonazis and members of Workers’ Party that night.
  • However, police’s spokesperson claims that the stabber looked more like a rapper than a skinhead. The racial motivation is neither confirmed nor denied by the police.
  • One of the Britons (of Nigerian origin) has his liver injured and he won’t leave the hospital in next two weeks.
  • The unknown man with knife speaks Czech and English.
  • This is the third case of aggresion against foreign students in Brno in last 2 years.

Brno again! We have been warned here in Manchester, UK not to go to The Czech Republic, for fear of racism and vandalism. I wonder why such people should be allowed to fly Scott-free without any traces… why are they spoiling this beautiful country- Czech? Should we start stabbing Czechs too here in the UK?

I’m with malik. I happen to know the “victims”, and they always talked and shouted, acting like they are in a 50cent video.
Thank god they got taught a lesson…in the most reasonable manner…IE they’re ok, not DEAD, and now, maybe know a little more about human nature… kick me, i kick u!

Having seen the CCTV footage, I can confirm that the three students did not provoke the stabbing, and infact tried to walk away from the situation.
