If the project of Czech architect Petr Parolek succeeds, the new main railway station will be a cool postmodern dominant of the city.
The 7-story scarab-shaped building will contain restaurants, offices and 1,700 (!) parking slots. The railway station is supposed to be completed in 2015 and will be located in the currently desolated southern part of the city (GPS: 49°10’52.871″N, 16°36’54.718″E).

No 3D visualisation has been published, neither the name of the private investor. Parolek has told to MFD newspaper that more information would be anounced during January 2009.
Petr Parolek received several awards for the recently-opened Brno Airport Terminal.
