Highway connecting Brno with Vienna to be completed in 2014

Czech and Austrian politicians finally ratified the project of a highway connecting Brno with Vienna via Mikulov. The road is supposed to be completed in 2014.

New highway will light up motorists, because it will shorten the drive between the cities from 2:30 to 1:30, and also people that are currently affected by transit traffic, which is flooding small Czech and Austrian towns.

However, Czech ecologists still insist on alternative eastern layout, connecting the cities via Břeclav, Czech republic. It is very unlikely that this will change the plans of both states.
