5 glorious street photographers of Brno

by Michal Kašpárek on January 5, 2009

These young guys are exploring fascinating new terrains of street photography:

David Helán – the cameraphone wizard

signs by *helmen

David Helán succesfully finds surprising details, original angles and fauvistic colors – and he does it all with his old cameraphone Sony Ericsson K750i. He is among my favorite Flickr photographers and I highly recommend you to explore his whole photostream, not only the photos of Brno.

Mr_Gonzales: detail aficionado

Bad luck by mr_gonzales

Among other topics, there are several dozens of rusty textures archived in the photostream of Mr Gonzales. I would love to have his eyes in the days that Brno seems gray and boring. Mr Gonzales proves that the city is never gray and boring. And that is what should the street photography be about :)

Vitanse – urban exploration, café relaxation

 by vitanse

Vitanse is a prolific photographer partially interested in brownfields and desolated areas as is 1920s villa at Gromešova st. or Zbrojovka factory. His photostream is also a great place to explore cafés and pubs of Brno.

Sjon – queer chic

Sjon is the most excentric person I know. And one of the funniest. Just check his pictures. Beware: some snapshots are not suitable for work!

Zlatmen: simplicity is the key

I have never before seen so nice pictures of Czech International Air Fest.
